TutorialAX Retail allows the marketing manager to publish retail promotion campaigns to Facebook and Twitter. Note that this feature is only available in the US market and you need to request the permission for early access.

Setup Facebook and Twitter appsYou can have your partner create the Facebook and Twitter apps for you, or you can create yourself.

Create Facebook app

Go to the Facebook developers site (log in if you're not already logged in). Choose the Create New App button, and then follow the prompts to name and create the new

application. Choose the Save Changes button. On the apps landing page, choose the application you created. Copy the App ID for your application and paste them into a temporary text file. You will later

enter this value to the AX. Click Edit App. On the Settings > Advanced tab, scroll to Migrations > Remove offline_access permission, make

sure it is set to Enabled if not already. Exit the Facebook developer site.

Create Twitter app

Browse to the Twitter developers site. Choose the Create an App link and then log into the site. On the Create an Application form, fill in the Name and Description fields. In the WebSite field, enter the URL of your site (for example, http://www.example.com). In the Callback URL field, enter a URL for the page in your website that you want users to return

to after logging into Twitter. Accept the terms and choose the Create your Twitter application button. On the My Applications landing page, choose the application you created. On the Setting tab, scroll to Application Type > Access, choose Read and Write, and click Update

this Twitter application’s settings.

On the Details tab, scroll to the bottom and choose the Create My Access Token button. On the Details tab, copy the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret values for your application and

paste them into a temporary text file. You will later enter these values to the AX. Exit the Twitter site.

Configure AX with the Facebook and Twitter app settings 1. Launch AX client.2. Open Retail/Setup/Parameters/Retail shared parameters.3. Select Facebook tab, enter the Facebook App ID.4. Select Twitter tab, enter the Twitter consumer key and consumer secret.

Set up Sites serviceSee (USA) Set up and maintain a Sites Services account.

Activate Sites solution and link Facebook and Twitter accounts1. Launch the AX client.2. Open Organization administration/Setup/Sites Services/Available solutions3. Select Advertise retail promotions on Facebook and Twitter, click Activate.4. The info log has a warning asking the user to link Facebook or Twitter account.5. Select the warning, click Media types.6. Alternatively, you can directly open Sales and marketing/Setup/Campaigns/Media types.7. Select Facebook media type, click Link account.8. Sign in with a Facebook account. 9. Click Go to App.10. Read the requested permissions and click Allow to accept.11. The info log says success.12. Click Parameters, select a Facebook page. 13. Click Open in browser. You will see your Facebook page.14. Select Twitter media type, click Link account.15. Sign in with a Twitter account. 16. The info log says success.17. Click Open in browser. You will see your Twitter page.

Add discounts to campaigns1. Go CEU/Sales and marketing/Area page/Common/My campaigns2. Create a new campaign.

a. Enter Name, Description. b. Attach an image and set Restriction to External (optional).

3. Click general tab.4. Click Media, add Facebook, Twitter.5. Click Discounts.6. Add an effective and enabled discount.7. Add Medias: Facebook, Twitter.

8. Note down the barcodes.

Publish campaigns to Facebook and Twitter1. Open CEU/Sales and marketing/Common/My campaigns.2. Select the campaign created above.3. Select General tab, click Publish.4. Check Publish to Sites checkbox.5. Open CEU/Organization administration/Setup/Sites Services/Available solutions.6. Select Advertise retail promotions on Facebook and Twitter solution, click Synchronize.7. Go back to the publish form, click Refresh.8. Select the page and click Open in browser.9. You should see a coupon page hosted by Sites Service with

a. Campaign description and image.b. Discount image, description and disclaimerc. Barcode and image

10. Select Facebook media type, enter message, subtitle, select a promotion page, and click Publish.11. Refresh your Facebook page opened earlier in the browser, and you will see a new post. 12. Click the link in the post, and you will see the coupon page.13. Select Twitter media type, enter message, select a promotion page, and click Publish.14. Refresh your Twitter page opened earlier in the browser, and you will see a new tweet.15. Click the link in the tweet, and you will see the coupon page.
