DEPARTMENT OF GEOLOGICAL SCIENCES OF THE FACULTY OF SCIENCE OF MASARYK UNIVERSITY WILL HOST AN ONLINE STUDENT GEOLOGICAL CONFERENCE 2020 ON FRIDAY 23rd OCTOBER 2020.
The conference is just around the corner and we have the 3rd circular ready for you to make sure that everything will go smoothly. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are forced to organize this year's conference on-line and we chose Microso� Teams as the pla�orm where the conference will take place.You will find detailed instruc�ons on how to connect and how to set up everything you need down below.

INSTALATION AND SIGNING IN
In order to par�cipate in the conference, you will need to install the Microso� Teams applica�on on your computer (note: version 1.3. or later).The applica�on is available for free at: www.microso�.com/en-us/microso�-365/micrso�-teams/download-app
Please log in to the applica�on by the e-mail address you provided during the registra�on for the conference.
STUDENTS OF MUNIYou will be automa�cally connectedto the conference group via schoole-mail.
STUDENTS OUTSIDE OF MUNIYou will be connected via your contact e-mail, to which we will send an invita�on link.
Once connected, you should be assigned to the SGK 2020 team in the "General" channel. Subsequently, we will divide you into two groups, see the conference program for more info...

HOW TO PRESENT IN MS TEAMS
In the posts sec�on, a window called Mee�ng in “X” will appear, for you to join, you simply click the Join bu�on.
A preview appears. Here you can choose whether you have the microphone on or off together with the camera.(For be�er streaming quality, we recommend having the camera turned off)
The en�re stream is controlled through this console:
When you are ready to present, click on this icon. At the bo�om of the screen, a panel will appear that allows you to share your screen.(Desktop sec�on, to see the cursor)
To ask for a word, click on this icon and wait for the speaker or administrator to be allowed to speak.
PRINCIPLES OF GOOD BEHAVIOR DURING PRESENTATIONS
During the conference, we ask you to turn off the microphone and the camera so you do not disturb the speaker. When presen�ng, keep the camera on.
EVALUATION AND COMMITTEE
Your results will be evaluated by an expert commi�ee:doc. Mgr. Jan Cempírek, Ph.D.; Mgr. Mar�n Knížek, Ph.D.; Mgr. Tomáš Kumpan, Ph.D.; Mgr. Adam Říčka, Ph.D.The whole conference will be recorded for the needs ofa fair evalua�on of the best speakers.! !If you want to verify whether everything is working as it should and at the same �me become familiar with the MS Teams program, we have prepared a trial lesson for you, which will take place on 21st October 2020 from 20:00 (more informa�on will be available on the SGK Facebook page).
