UPSC has been established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India
The Commission conducts examinations for recruitment to services/posts in various fields
One of the functions of the Commission is to conduct examinations for appointment to Civil Services
CSE/UPSC is more than IAS

UPSC conducts CSE for 24 posts Like IFS, IPS, IRS (IT), IRS (Customs), Indian
Railway, Postal Services, IAAS, Defence Services, ITS, ICLS, DANICS, DANIPS etc.
Vacancies in 2016 are 1079 for all of these 24 posts combined
