Make sure your electronics are charged and if possible have a battery operated or hand crank radio.

Have A To Go Bag.
Make sure you have a to-go bag ready at all times in case of an emergency. You should have gear like cell phone chargers, water, etc.

72 Hours Worth of Food and Water.
Store at least 72 hours worth of food and water in a storm cellar, closet or safe place.
