volcano erupt?!volcano erupt?!
****2 house points each and a geography badge!****
• Newspaper to finish volcano
shape
• Paper Mache glue e.g. pva to stick
newspaper
• Paint to colour after dry
•Sticky back plastic (if possible) to
cover the whole thing (except the vent in the top)
Get your glue ready.
UPVA mixed with water works well.
A paint tray makes it less messy
Roll balls of newspaper around in your glue
Build up your volcano from the base….. no rush, take your time !
Keep going until your volcano starts to take shape
Then you need thin strips of newspaper to neaten it all up
You can now mould your volcano to any shape you like
Make sure you leave the bottle opening free from paper
After you glue has dried (Overnight perhaps) Its ready for painting
Again the colours and style is up to you, remember all volcanoes are unique!
You can add texture, twigs for trees, moss for vegetation and even a few buildings nearby if you like
Your volcanoes will be photographed and posted onto the Geography Society blog & used during Open evening on 1st October… We will also use them during next week’s club.
****2 house points each and a geography badge!****
You can base your volcano on a real volcano that has erupted…look online for photos!
