communicating with your prospect and providing a much needed service and you can

not knowing exactly why you're doing something. You need to remain in control at all

Sales Funnel

Spend the 2nd week setting up the sales funnel. Determine which tools I will require

such as: domain name, web site, autoresponder, blog, software tools, membership site

budget. How will I direct prospects through the sales funnel? Through referrals or lead

capture, or both?

30 Day Goal

How much traffic do I need to start making sales? How quickly can I be in profit?

Average profit per sale? How much effort will I need to apply each day to reach these

goals? Where and how should I promote my business to get the best results?

3 Month Goal

Once I reach my first $1000, I want to increase my profits by $500 every month.

6 Month Goal

Once I reach $3000/mth, I want to work with more passive income opportunities and

add some new back-end products into my sales funnel.

Once you have your master marketing plan completed, you will be able to concentrate on

making the effort required to achieving your goals and start profiting for real. The

following chapter discusses the various money-making business models that you can

choose from. Just remember that nothing happens without effort. The more effort you

put into your business, the more you will receive back from it.

8.0 Proven Money-Making Business Models

8.1 Affiliate Marketing

Becoming an affiliate and promoting other people's products is one of the quickest way

to start making money online. The reason for this is that you don't need to carry out and

research and development, the product has already been created for you. You don't need

to pay for the product development, as that has been done in advance for you by the

product owner. Electronic products are terrific because you don't need to carry any

stocks or inventory, or worry about physical delivery. You don't need to worry about





processing the payments, returns or refunds, and at the same time you'll become well

practiced in the art of carrying out business online.

The good thing about referral marketing is that you can reap a large share of the profits,

with less than half of the effort.

There are two powerful ways that you can make good profits with referral marketing:

1. Pay per lead

2. Pay per sale

The aim of referral marketing is to get the prospect to carry out the desired action, which

will be one of two things:

1. To buy a product;

2. To provide their details to opt-in to a list.

Both types of marketing are easy, with pay per lead having a slight edge over pay per

sale. This is due to the fact that it's easier to get someone to signup through an opt-in

form for some kind of bonus or return.

Let's discuss these models in more detail so you can decide one model is best for you.

8.1.1 Pay-Per-Sale Affiliate Marketing

As an affiliate, all you need to do is promote your affiliate link to attract traffic to the

main web site, where the prospect will be able to view the information about the features

and benefits of using or buying the product. When the prospect decides to buy the

product, they pay the owner and you are credited with a sale. Most companies pay

commissions monthly, and you will receive a payment for the total number of sales made

in that time. The commission amount depends on the commission rate applied by that

program. The commissions are your profit to keep.

There's a formula that I personally use to gain an increasing amount of commissions

with this type of marketing. I'm always very selective in the products that I promote,

and I stick to using proven marketing strategies.

Here are some hints and tips that show you how to select the right kind of products for

higher profits:





Ensure the affiliate programs you choose fit well with your marketing plan.

Know your selected niche first, then choose products that fit in with that niche.

Look for good quality products that are popular and in high demand.

Choose products that are competitively priced and not out of the range of your

customer's budget.

Carry out your due diligence on the merchant to ensure that they pay on time,

provide marketing materials, and have a good track record from other affiliate's

perspectives.

What commission rate does the merchant pay, and how many sales will you need to

To become successful as a pay-per-sale affiliate, it's a good idea to pre-sell the prospect.

This is achieved by setting up your own sale's funnel that captures your prospect's details

to your own list before sending them to the merchant's web site.

Here's how the sales funnel works:

Advertise to get traffic Prospect visits your lead capture page Prospect's details

are added to your list when they opt-in Follow-up email is sent automatically to pre-

sell the product Prospect is redirected to the merchant's product sales page.

The benefit of creating this kind of sales funnel is that you will build a good list of

prospects that you can send offers for similar products to, and pre-selling the product on

offer will increase the percentage of sales that you make. It's not always easy to attract

new prospects… So you shouldn't miss the chance to capture their information, because

they could become repeat customers in the future.

If you don't create your own sales funnel, you'll lose potential sales and boost the

merchant's list alone. Many prospects don't buy on the first visit to a site, and

sometimes they clear their cookies, which could rob you of your sale… That doesn't

make good business sense does it? At least by having the prospect in your own sales

funnel, they will be receiving a series of follow-up emails that include your affiliate link,

and they'll be more likely to buy when they've found out more about the product.





8.1.2 Pay-Per-Lead Affiliate Marketing

With this business model, you will be referring prospects to information about a product,

rather than a product sales page. This type of marketing involves the prospect filling out

a form and opting in for more information. You will be paid for each prospect that fills

out a form and becomes a lead.

It's quite common for prospects to fill out a form in return for something of value that's

offered free of charge, like a product sample. Just ensure you check out the merchant's

form to see that they're conducting business ethically, with privacy policies in place, and

a simple signup process, before deciding to promote a particular pay-per-lead offer.

When you have decided which pay-per-lead offers you'd like to promote, you can market

in a different way to the pay-per-sale model. Two common methods are by creating a

web site for a variety of freebies that might frequently change, depending on the time

limit of the offer. You could follow the vein of 'this month's best free offers'. Another

popular tactic is to send out a freebie newsletter, like 'top free samples' that includes

pay-per-lead offers. You can also focus on specific niches if you wish to attract a warm

audience to your offers. Then your newsletter would be providing highly sought after

information and add value to your web site visitor's experience.

Alternatively, you can create a content-rich web site that focuses on your chosen niche

that provides educational articles, quizzes, tools and interviews etc. The idea would be

without the need of their own web site, heavy advertising or a list. With many millions

of members, it's not hard for someone to find what they're looking for.
