Dry Batter Ingredients • 1 cup all-purpose flour • ½ tsp salt • ½ tsp white pepper • ¼ tsp of nutmeg

Wet Batter Ingredients • ¼ cup milk • 2 eggs Other • 3 Tbsp butter

Put 4 quarts of water on the stove to boil. Combine and mix dry ingredients.

Add wet ingredients to dry and blend together. Alternate a little egg, then a little milk, until blended. If too thick, add a little more milk.

Melt butter and brown it if you wish. If you have sausages, make sure they will be ready soon. The beauty of spaetzle is it does not take very long.

Set spaetzle maker on the pot of boiling water, fill the plastic hopper with batter.

Move the spaetzle maker hopper back and forth across the holes to drop the spaetzle into the water. Refill as necessary. Boil for 3-4 minutes.
