    When choosing a background for your SPOT on presentation, remember the rule of Less is More; with the many options available, there can be a tendency to over do.
    Backgrounds should work as a stage for your powerful presentation.
    Busy backgrounds can be distracting.
    Black or very dark Backgrounds can lead to a lack luster presentation.
    Beautiful backdrops can be created through the appropriate use of color.

    It is easy to Spot a well organized presentation, as it has consistent elements in all aspects, including but not limited to, fonts, colors, photos, and layout. (Duffy, Text- Chapter #11)
    Create continuity with similar text & colors.
    Avoid overuse of graphics and special effects.
    Create uniformity without monotony.

    The POWER - of a powerful PowerPoint - comes from the creator who is able to Spot the pitfalls as well as the positive attributes associated with creating a presentation. According to Ian Jukes in his Bringing Down the House presentation, we need to cut out the unnecessary verbiage and fluff so what you have left are the important parts of the presentation .
    Practice makes perfect and as you become more familiar with the PowerPoint program, learning to change background and text colors, inserting pictures and sounds, and creating your own layouts, you will be Begging to create powerful presentations in all aspects of your life. So, remember the ABCs of a powerful presentation is the key to your success:
