How to Install Magento Manually ?

Basic System Requirements to Install Magento

Before installing Magento, check system requirements in Magento official site: http://magento.com/resources/system-requirements



Follow 4 Easy Steps to Install Magento Manually

Step 1: Download the Magento installation package

Step 2: Upload the Magento files to your server

Step 3: Create a MySQL Database for Magento to use

Step 4: Go through the Magento installation process



Download the Magento Installation Package

Step 1: Download the latest Magento installation package from the official Magento website.

Click On Download



Upload the Magento Files to Your Server

Step 2: Now upload a installation package on your hosting account through FTP client.

Right-click and click on upload



Create a MySQL Database for Magento to use

Step 3: Create a MySQL database and assign a user to it through FTP > MySQL Databases. Remember the database details, since you will need them during the script installation.



Go Through the Magento Installation Process

Step 4: After the package is uploaded and extracted and you have a MySQL database, navigate to http://yoursite.com/store-name:

License agreement



Click on license agreement and read terms and conditions. If you AGREE with it, then select a check box and click on the Continue button.


ContinueClick On Box



Move on second tab "localization", choose the preferred Time Zone, Locale and Default Currency and then press the Continue button.




Next, fill-up the database details such as Database Name, User Name and User Password. Make sure that you tick the "Skip Base URL validation before next step" option. Then, click the Continue button to proceed.





At this point you should enter the personal information and the admin login details which you want to use. You can leave the Encryption Key field empty and the script will generate one for you. Once more, click the Continue button.




At the end, select country,category, payment and other business related information and click on SUBMIT to finish installation process.
