How to Get Your FREE YouTube API Key

In this tutorial you’ll learn how to get your FREE API Key from YouTube,

which you will need in order to use the features within TubeSerp.

The FIRST step is to have a Google Account (which is also FREE).

If you do NOT have a Google account, then please go to Google.com

Click “Sign In” from the top right corner, and then click on “Create

Account”.

Follow the onscreen instructions to create your account.

Once you have got your Google Account – Sign in to it and then go to

this URL here…

Then follow the instructions (and screenshots below)

Click on one of the “Get Started” buttons, as shown below

Check your account is selected and tick the “checkbox” for their “Terms

of Service”. Then click on the “Continue” button, as shown below.

Then you need to select your account type. You can select “Business”

or “Individual”. Then enter your name and address and enter either

credit / debit card, or bank account details.

DO NOT WORRY – You will NOT get charged EVEN after your FREE trial.

You only get charged if you choose to use paid services in the future.

You can SKIP the step that is shown below.

Click on “APIs & Services” and then choose “Credentials”, as shown

below.

Click on “Credentials” and then select “API Key” from the dropdown

menu, as shown below.

You can click the small “Copy to clipboard” icon as shown below, but

you’re not quite finished yet.

Click on “Library” from the left hand navigation menu, as shown below.

Scroll down and click on “YouTube Data API v3”, as shown below.

Click on “ENABLE”, as shown below.

Click on “Credentials” and you’ll see your API Key on the screen, with a

small “Copy to clipboard” icon next to it.

You can copy and paste that API Key into your TubeSerp settings, and

you’ll be ready to go!!

Do Not share your key with other people. If you think someone else is

using your API Key and FREE daily quota, you can regenerate your KEY

at any time from that same “Credentials” page.
