HOW DO YOU CREATEA PERFECTSMILE?
Perhaps you have seen the fantastic results that cosmetic dentistry can have on a friend or family member or maybe even in a celebrity magazine, but aren’t sure whether it could work for you?
The answer is it probably will.
The new brace systems we use are super easy to fit, cause no discomfort and have great long-lasting results.It is more than likely that by fitting one of these systems you will be able to achieve the look you want.
Understandably, many of our customers have concerns when they first begin
talking to us about their desire to “fix their smile”. Here are some of the
questions we get asked a lot.
Will it hurt?
No, not at all. The fitting and removal process is completely pain free.
Will it feel odd?
It may take you a day or so to get used to them, but usually when we make our
follow-up phonecall on day one our customers tell us they are used to them
already.
Will it affect the way I speak?
No.
Can I eat and drink as normal?
Yes. Some of the older systems did require you to avoid certain types of food,
otherwise they could be discoloured. However, the new systems we use don’t
have this problem.
Does it cost a lot?
No. Usually a course of treatment ranges
from £1,000 - £1,500. You don’t have to pay
this all at once; we usually arrange for
monthly payments throughout the course
of your treatment.
We can also arrange for you to spread the
payments over twelve months with an
interest-free credit agreement (subject to
finance approval).

The vast majority of our patients achieve the smile they want within six months.
For some, the treatment is effective in as little as four months - the fastest
success we’ve had took just seven weeks. For some, it can take a little longer -
maybe six to eight months.

What happens after six months?
You will have been having regular monthly appointments with us, so you will know
how the treatment is progressing and when you can expect for the braces to be
removed.
Once you are satisfied with the results of the treatment, the braces are then simply
and painlessly removed - and you can enjoy your new smile with confidence.

HOW DO YOU CREATE A PERFECT SMILE?

The first step is to call and arrange a consultation with Niall Sloan, our lead dentist.
IT IS A SIMPLE PROCEDURE TO FIT THE BRACES. IT TAKES
AROUND 25 MINUTES TO FIT THEM.
CONSULTATION
Your first appointment with us will be a consultation that will take around forty
minutes. During this time, we will discuss what you want to change and talk about
the treatment options.
If we decide we can help, and you want to go ahead, we will take photos, X-rays,
and models of your teeth.
It takes approximately twenty-five minutes to fit your new braces.
We will discuss the upkeep and aftercare and arrange for your first follow-up
appointment.
MANUFACTURE
Depending which system we have decided upon, your braces should be made for
you in the manufacturer’s labs within two weeks, based on the models we took
during your consultation process.
FITTING
WHAT’S NEXT? A LITTLE ADJUSTMENT TO YOUR TEETH
CLEANING ROUTINE & REGULAR MONTHLY APPOINTMENTS TO
CHECK YOUR PROGRESS.
PHONE CALL
We will call you 24 hours after your braces are fitted to make sure everything is ok
and you are feeling comfortable.
REGULAR APPOINTMENTS
We will arrange a fifteen to twenty minute appointment each month, so we can
check the movement of the teeth, see how you are getting on and make any
adjustments to the braces that are necessary.
Wearing the braces.
Approximately six months later, it will take around twenty-five minutes to remove
the braces.
You can enjoy your new improved smile.
AFTER CARE
You will need to wear a retainer at night to ensure that you keep your wonderful
new smile.
We will keep an eye on things with regular checkups every four to six months; the
equivalent of your normal dental checkups.

REMOVAL
CFAST
The CFast system is similar to the “six month smile”
programme. The braces are fixed to the teeth. They are not
completely invisible, but they are virtually invisible. They will
work on eight teeth. They can be used on the top and/or
bottom row of teeth.
At Sloan Dental we offer three different types of treatment.
WHICH SYSTEM IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
INMAN ALIGNER
This is the fastest of all treatments. However, it only works on
the front four teeth. It is more intrusive than the CFast system
because it is not fixed. The patient will be responsible for
wearing the brace, so you need to be particularly motivated to
use this system.
CLEAR ALIGNERS
Clear aligners are completely invisible. They are the most
expensive of the three systems we offer and they are the
slowest. They will work on up to six teeth. They can be used
on the top and/or bottom row of teeth.
During your consultation appointment, we will assess your teeth, discuss your
lifestyle and your goals with you and reccomend the best system for you.
