What to DO?

Inspect the reputation of the local car shops. search online, look for car forums and

discussion boards where a lot of people offer reviews and opinions about their experience with certain mechanics.

ask your family or friends if they can recommend someone.

One simple advice would be to get as many quotes as possible. You should compare prices from different car shops by either going from door to door, or check their websites.
