How to download & install Skype

Step 1Start off by going onto your web browser, & typing into your search bar ‘skype’ & clicking the link to ‘www.skype.com’

After this web page has come up onto your screen, click on the tab that says ‘downloads’

Step 3When the link has loaded it takes you to the screen where you have to choose the platform of which you want to download Skype on, for example I'm downloading the computer version of Skype

Step 4Now you’ve chosen your platform it opens a menu to choose what download you want for your software, I need to get the Skype for windows desktop as it suits my software

Step 5Once you have chosen the download for your software you now need to wait for your download to finish, if it doesn’t start in the first place then click the ‘try again’ icon

Step 6When your download is done, an icon named ‘Skype setup full’ will appear wherever you have decided to save it

Step 7You first need to allow it to make changes your computer

after you’ve allowed it to make changes it will come up with this window you have to click ‘I agree – next’ to carry on

Step 8After you have been through the setup this window should come up and all you have to do it wait for it to finish

Step 9You are now finished, all you need to do is setup an account with Skype to begin using it
