Why ESL Video?

It is a free, web-based resource allows you to create a video quiz by • selecting a video • designating a language level • adding multiple choice questions • sharing the video quiz with a URL link or an embed code

Let’s start

Sign up required, this is option for this workshop.

1. Locate a YouTube video.

2. Copy the embed code:

3. Surf to http://www.eslvideo.com

4. Log in to ESLvideo (register if you wish)

5. Select the Create a quiz tab

6. Type in a title

7. Input a quiz description

8. Input tags to help others locate your quiz

9. Insert a Thumbnail Image (read the instructions below)

10. Paste the video embed code

11. Select an English level

12. Select a quiz type

13. Click on the Next button

14. Click on the Click here link

15. Click on the Questions link

16. Click on Add a question

17. Complete the question form

18. Click the Send button

19. Repeat steps 16 and 17 until your quiz is complete

20. When you quiz is finished, click on the link, click here to view your quiz

21. Check your quiz for spelling mistakes

22. To share the video with a web address, select the embed code and copy it

23. Paste this in an email or message and send it to your students

24. To embed the video in a web page or learning management system
