• Create content that shares valuable information, relevant to your audience.

• Promote that.

• Repackage that into videos, infographics and memes.

CURATE CONTENT

• Borrow (with permission) content from other bloggers.

• Have an option to have guest bloggers on your site.

• Interview people of interest in your field.

• Use social media post screenshots or comments to create a blog around what other people are saying.

Create a Calendar to Help You Plan Your Posts

A Few Content Creation Tips to Help You

• Post one blog per day

• Take information from one blog and repackage it into different formats

• This will give you several blog posts derived from one concept

• Use a posting scheduling tool to help manage your life

• Plan to spend at least one to two hours a day prospecting using social media.

• Leverage professionals if you get stuck.

• Make a blog post about a contest you are promoting each month and repost that once per week on your social media channels.

• Use video to promote contests, events and special promotions.

• Do a webinar (free)

• Offer (paid) mastermind webinars

• HOOTSUITE – Allows me to pre-program all of my content on Twitter, Facebook, Business pages, Google+ Business Pages (only), LinkedIn, Facebook & LinkedIn Groups. The AutoSchedule features picks the time of day when the audience has peaked, increasing exposure for each post. You can also read all of your feeds in one place.

Don’t Know What to Write About?

• HUBSPOT – This title generator is a big help if you suffer from writer’s block. This will give you some stellar SEO-optimized title ideas.

Not a Graphic Designer?

• QUOZIO – A meme generator. Simply take some of the text from your blog and it will make it into a photo for you. Make sure to put your website at the bottom – great for Pinterest and Instagram.

Don’t Know How to Do Infographics?

• Piktochart – Easy enough for anyone to use and publish stunning infographics –templates included.

Don’t know how to make contests? SHORT STACK – Push button integration with most social media platforms. Easy templates and custom contest creation. Also plugs in to many CRM programs.

A Few Points to Remember

• It all starts with a plan

• You really do need a blog

• A blog can replace your current website

• Constant creation of content is key

• Leveraging other folks to help you with content is a great time saver

• All content can be repackaged, saving you time.

• Blogging and microblogging – social media is just a mini blog. Use this to your advantage. Look at what people are looking for and write to that.

• Use FAQ’s for your business as a blog.

• Make it attractive for people to sign up for your newsletter, follow your blog and follow you on social media.

• You are NOT a marketer, you are an entertainer.
