What is Keynote?Keynote is a presentation program similar to Powerpoint.

Keynote can convert Powerpoint files easily.

This program can be used to create slideshows to communicate knowledge.

Building a PresentationTo begin creating a presentation, select Themes from the menu bar.

Choose a theme format for the presentation.

Click on Masters to choose a slide layout appropriate to communicate specific information.

To add slides to the presentation, choose Slide in the menu bar and scroll down to new slide. If you would like to change the slide layout click on Masters.

Background Appearance

To change the background appearance of a slide click on Inspector in the menu bar. Choose Slide Inspector and Appearance.

Click on Background>Image Fill.

Choose a color to fill the background of the slide.

Inserting MediaClick on the Media icon in the menu bar.

Click on Photos to gain access to your iPhoto library. Click and drag photos into the Keynote slide.

Click on Movies to locate any movie saved on your computer. Click and drag the movie into the Keynote slide.

Click on Audio to add sound files to your project.

Graphics From the Internet

Find graphic online.

http://www.google.com

Type in search word.

Click on Images.

Click on desired image and drag it onto a Keynote slide.

AnimationChanges the way text or graphics appear on the screen.

Click on the Inspector icon in the menu bar.

Select portion of slide to animate.

Click on the Build Inspector icon.

Select Build In.

Choose an Effect.

Viewing the Presentation

CLick on the first slide of the slideshow.

Select View in the menu bar.

Scroll down to Play Slideshow.

Printing Presentations

Under File, select Print.
