This section is about paid advertising. There is not much need to use this, but if

you wish to, ensure your add is super targeted. Most importantly in order:

Location -> Interests -> Age.

Click “Skip” to continue if you are not paying for promotion.

Importantly, Like your own page! All those on your friends list can see what you have

“liked” so this is the first step in getting the word out there.

You can invite all your email contacts to “like your page” (explained in next page). This is

an easy way to get your page likes underway and let customers know you are on

Facebook. Click “Next”.

Add a cover photo

Next you want to update your page information, as the initial setup process doesn’t give

You the option to cover every aspect.

Once you have

completed updating,

click “About” to see

your updated

information.

Page 12: How to create a Facebook business page

When you click “Update page Info” this is where you’ll end up. Enter all the relevant

information that you can. Please note that you can only change your Facebook web

Address after the first 25 likes. Updating your web address will get rid of all the numbers

at the end of your Facebook page url. This just makes it look a lot cleaner.

Reviews are valuable in any business, Facebook is

just another platform where you can

acquire some good client testimonials. I would

encourage you to ask satisfied clients

for a review on your Facebook page.

Tips for posting your content:

- Always include keywords in status updates. So if you are posting a property listing,

your keywords would be something like: house for sale, real estate agent, suburb.

Open your post with a brief description of what your post is about, acting as your title.

Examples:

“Check out this 3 bedroom house for sale in Sydney”

“Looking for a rental property in Sydney? Have a look at this!”

- Encourage interaction. You will notice how those 2 examples give a directive and one

Also asks a question. Asking a question and giving an instruction is a great way to boost

engagement of a post.

- Add value and be relevant. Not all content you post has to be your own. Share what

Ever you find funny, informative, important etc. This is a good way to also keep some

Diversity on your page

- When posting images of property listings, always include a website link to that

Property in your Facebook post. This ensures that your post is not a dead end, so

someone who may actually be interested has somewhere to go.
