How to Choose A Profitable niche For Your Online Business

I am going to discuss how to choose a profitable niche for your online business.

There is a lot of conflicting information and I want to put things straight by giving the common sense approach!

It is said that there is nothing new under the sun! So how do people come up with 'new' ideas?

Basically they see something that is already working and then go about changing it in some way so that it becomes new!

It is the same with niche selection. It's not about finding keywords and looking at how many searches people are making.

It's about finding a niche that is already working. In other words niches that are already profitable.

So how can you do that?

An easy quick way to see if a particular niche is profitable is to do a search in Google and see if people are paying for ads.

If there are ads there then it means that someone is willing to pay money to have them there and therefore they need to be making money in order to see any profits.

You're not going to pay for advertising if you aren't sure that you will make sufficient profits from that advertising.

If a niche is profitable then there must be demand from customers and they must be willing to spend money in that niche.

Another thing you can do is to see if there are forums for a particular niche.

If there are forums then it means that there are people passionate enough about that niche to want to hang out and get involved in a forum.

Also if there are forums then that becomes a great place for you to get visibility to your business and offer.

There also needs to be plenty of product ideas for your niche.

If you can only create one product in the niche that you have chosen then your profits will be severely limited.

You need to be able to create multiple products and therefore your niche must have plenty of product ideas.

Go to Amazon and see how many non fiction books there are in this niche.

What are the titles about?

This should give you a clear idea or whether that niche is going to work or not.

Above all I believe that you should have a genuine interest in the niche that you chose because you will need the drive to take action and get things done to build and grow your business.
