process to apply for a passport.

But now a day's entire procedure is online and you need not to pay a high amount to passport agent and bribe

to passport officer.

The process is completely online, systematic and transparent. All you

need to have basic internet knowledge.

passport. 

To apply for a passport, only visit passport office's official website at www.passportindia.gov.in 

WAYSTODO.INStep 1

 To apply for passport, you need to have an

account on passport seva online portal.

You will find a link ‘Register Now’ on home page.

After the successful registration, login to the

Passport Seva Online Portal with your registered Login Id and password.

Once you logged in, you will find different links on

your dashboard.

For a fresh/new passport click "Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport" link.

You will be asked to fill the required details when

you click on link mentioned in step 3.

Fill in the required details in the form and submit.

After submitting the form, you need to schedule an appointment as per your convenience date

and time.

For that first you must pay passport fees online.

WAYSTODO.INOnline Payment for passport fees can be made

using any one of the following modes

• Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa)• Internet Banking (SBI and Other Banks)• SBI Bank Challan

WAYSTODO.INClick the "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link on the "View Saved/Submitted Applications"

screen to schedule an appointment.

During scheduling an appointment, you need to select date, time and the passport center you want

to visit.

WAYSTODO.INStep 6

After scheduling an appointment, Click the "Print Application Receipt" link to print the application receipt containing Application Reference Number

(ARN)/Appointment Number.

WAYSTODO.INStep 7

Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)/Regional

Passport Office (RPO) where appointment has been booked, along with original documents.
