How to add media from eStream to Canvas Adding media via the Rich Text Editor This example adds an eStream media item to a Canvas page but the same process applies to any item which uses the Rich text editor. 1.   • How to add media from eStream to Canvas Adding media via the Rich Text Editor This example adds an eStream media item to a Canvas page but the same process applies to any

    item which uses the Rich text editor.

    1. Browse to your Canvas page and click “Edit”

    2. Position the text cursor where you would like the media to appear. Here, I would like the media

    to appear after my first paragraph.

  • 3. Click on the “More external tools” icon and select “Planet eStream”

    4. Enter a search term and click the search button (or press return).

    5. To refine your search, click the “Show Filters” button, select some of the options and click the

    search button.

  • In this example, I have limited my search to media items added between 20/03/2020 and

    20/03/2020.

    6. Click on the title or the thumbnail of the media item you wish to add.

  • 7. Click “Add to Canvas”

  • 8. Your media will be added to your Canvas content. Select “Save” to save the item as a draft or

    “Save and Publish” to publish the item immediately.

  • Adding media directly to Canvas Module

    1. Browse to the module you wish to add the media to and select the “Add Item” Icon.

    2. Select “External Tool” from the drop-down menu and click on “Planet eStream” in the External

    Tool list.

  • 3. Enter a search term and click the search button (or press return).

    4. To refine your search, click the “Show Filters” button, select some of the options and click the

    search button.

    In this example, I have limited my search to media items added between 20/03/2020 and

    20/03/2020.

  • 5. Click on the title or the thumbnail of the media item you wish to add.

  • 6. Click “Add to Canvas”

  • 7. If required, edit the Page name (it takes the media title by default) and click “Add Item”.

    8. Your media item will be added to your module
