If you have trouble with this step please first re-read steps 1-4 above and make sure you are on the right web-page, you have the right G-ID, and that you are following the temporary password instructions exactly ("Unswyyyymmdd" format).

If you still have problems we may have made a mistake (such as have your date of birth wrong in our system), so please do the following:

Send an email to   [email protected]   include your date or birth or the password(s) you tried - email is not NOTsecure,In the subject of the email say "Can't activate G-ID in online IT Induction",In the email state your name and your G-ID,State if this is your first UNSW Global course (you are a new student) or if you have been a student with us before,If possible send a screenshot (picture) of the problem/error message etc.

If we can reply to your email we will do so as soon as possible. If you do not get a reply or if we cannot get your password to work, do not worry - someone will see you on campus on Day 1 to help you with this. And you can do the IT Induction then, in that case

Step 6: Answer/check three special security questions

Page 7: How to activate your G-ID account:

If you are a new UNSW Global student then:

Select and answer three (3) special questionsThen enter your personal email address at the end, and click "Next"

If you have been a UNSW Global student before and/or have already set up your G-ID special questions:

Just check the questions and make sure still remember your answers. If you are not sure you can update the answers nowThen confirm or enter your personal email address at the end, and click "Next"

Step 7: Create a new password (if requested)

Tips:

These are your special, secret security questions - you can use the answers to access your account if you forget your password etc.Make sure you enter answers that you will remember later. They don't have to be true, but they must be something you will remember! But choose questions/answers that someone else cannot easily guess!Spelling is important, but case (capital/big and lower/small) letters does not matter.
