The Role of the United StatesTraditionally the American government has fought the

wars, that the U.S. military is involved in.But what is needed is an understanding of geopolitics and

the art of war.Geopolitics- the study of the geographical assumptions

designations and understanding that enter into the making or world politics.

Sovereignty- a condition of final and absolute authority in a political community. Not achieved until a country is a recognized state with total

control over territory within its borders, the bureaucracy, and a monopoly of the use of force within the nation, its money, as well as its laws.
