The main problem is condensation of the flue gas SO2 which is highly corrosive. The
effect on power is practically zero, unless the total insulation is gone and it effects the stack
effect.

In our boiler I.D.fans (6 Nos) outlet flue gas common outlet duct going to stack was
bare at many places due to damaged insulation.we have done the new insulation to the i.d.fan
