How is life in Kenya different to ours?
Key question: How are Kenyan houses different to ours?
Differences
• Use the next set of pictures to make a list of up to five similarities and five differences to living in this country.
• Extension: Choose the biggest difference and explain why it is so different to your life.
Postcard TaskScenario: Imagine you have been visiting the shanty towns (poor people’s houses) in Kenya on a school trip.
1. Draw a picture relating to Kenya on the other side of you postcard.
2. Write a postcard home explaining the differences between your home and the shanty town houses. There is an example which can be used to help guide you. Most of you can go to the last page to copy / print the blank template. Those who struggle (and I mean really struggle) use the example template
3. How could these conditions be a problem for the people living there?
