How I took my photos for my music magazine.

How I took my photos for my music magazine.

I ensured that I had the correct equipment, a fan which I used on my model impersonating Katy Perry to make her hair swift back to create a wind swept look for the model whilst she was smiling, this made the model blend in better with the background.

Also I placed the models in front of a green screen. The reason why I did this is so that I could crop then out more precisely due to there not been any colours in the background which would blend with her skin tone, clothing or hair making it easy to select the model from the photo and remove her from the green background and place her onto a white background.

Also when taking my photos, I used the professional camera supplied by school. Learning various angles to take the photos from to create a certain look and touch, making it either close up or far away. I took several shots of each pose on this camera, which I then loaded onto my laptop and decided which one would fit best with my magazine. I felt the camera was a good aspect to my work as it made a more professional standard.

When taking pictures outside of school, I used my personal camera which is a pink Samsung camera, I did this for my image of Lady Gaga on the contents page which I later edited to make it more of a professional standard. By having my own camera at home to use this made it a whole lot simpler as I was not having to carry around the equipment.
