COMPRESSOR CONDENSOR EVAPORATOR EXPANSION VALVE HOW DOES AN AIR CONDITIONER WORK? The compressor pressurizes the refrigerant, changing it back into a liquid. The hot refrigerant travels to coils located outside of the house. The condenser blows air across the hot coils, releasing the heat outside. The expansion valve regulates the flow of the refrigerant. It decreases pressure, causing the refrigerant to change into gas and cool down. A fan then blows the air across the cooled coils into a room or a duct system that distributes it throughout the house. Air is pulled in from intake valves throughout the house. And then the process starts all over. Brought to you by Empire Heating & Air Conditioning

HOW DOES AN AIRCONDITIONER WORK?

The compressorpressurizes the refrigerant, changing it back into aliquid.

The hot refrigeranttravels to coilslocated outside ofthe house.

The condenserblows air across thehot coils, releasingthe heat outside.

The expansion valveregulates the flow ofthe refrigerant. Itdecreases pressure, causing the refrigerantto change into gasand cool down.

A fan then blowsthe air across thecooled coils into aroom or a ductsystem thatdistributes itthroughout thehouse.

Air is pulled in from intakevalves throughout the house.
