How to get on Google maps? How do I get on Google maps? How does anyone get on Google maps?  The answer is simple- by going through a few step process.

First, if you do not already have a Google account,  get one.  Then log in to Google Places- you will find this under account settings, the same place you find your Adsense and Adwords accounts.

Then you will need to fill out the information.  Google Places will need to verify your "business" , and they say they will do it by phone or by letter.  They almost always do it with a letter sent to an address, so put your home address if your "business" does not have a physical address.  You will be able to remove the street address once

you are verified, so do not worry.

While filling out the form, be sure to use keywords as your "business" title so that you will get found more easily when people are searching for your kind of website or service.

Once you complete filling out the information, Google will then send you a small card with a pin to verify.  Once the card arrives, simply log back in to your Google account, go to Google Places, and put the pin number in where prompted.

Now you are complete.  You will be able to take out the street address, but do not change other parameters of the address or Google may have to verify you again.  You can even make a coupon to give visitors incentive to come to your site.
