1. Read 15-30 minutes a night
2. Learn to be an active listener Take notes!
3. Study for tests…before you take them!

Why Do I Take Notes?
1. To be an active listener
2. To help you pay attention
3. To recognize important information later If it’s on the board…it’s probably important
How Do I Take Notes?
1. Make sure that you can read your notes
2. Don’t try and write down everything…only KEY points
3. Use symbols and abbreviations = same or equal * most importantly e.g. for example w/o without b/c because
(Work smarter…not harder)
What do I do with my notes?
Go over your notes ASAP
Use them to study for tests
Get copies of class notes if you are absent

Please follow the directions below to set up an account in Aeries ABI:
1. Add the following address to your e-mail address book:
http://mystudent.fjuhsd.net We don’t want emails going to junk mail!
2. To set up Aeries ABI (Aeries Browser Interface) you will need the following information:
a. A valid email address for each person creating an account
b. Your home phone number as listed in school records
c. Your permanent ID number
d. Your Verification Pass Code (VPC) (This code can be used multiple times if connected to a new email address each time.)
3. With these four things at hand, log on to http://mystudent.fjuhsd.net
4. Click on Create New Account, and follow the procedures on the screen to set up your account.

Helpful Hints1. Use your full email address as your user name
1. The format for your phone number should be 7145551212 (no dashes, slashes, or spaces)
2. If you have any questions or ABI related problems, please email [email protected]
3. The subject line of your email must include BPHS- followed by the student name.
