Shoulder Tear also known as the Rotator Cuff Tear is a condition where the rotator cuff tendons get torn as an outcome of an injury or chronic tendinopathy or a combination of the two.

An injury leading to a shoulder tear can occur due to a fall, a direct blow or sudden force used on the shoulder joint. Shoulder Tear Exercises are a very significant part of treatment for shoulder pain.

The rotator cuff consists of a combination of four muscles and tendons that attach to the upper arm bones (Humerus).

These help to stabilize the shoulder joint and allow you to move your shoulder in a specific way.

There are a Four muscles in the rotator cuff :-

i) Supraspinatus:- It is responsible for lifting up the arm and moving it away from the body.

ii) Infraspinatus:- It is responsible for the external rotation of the

arm.

iii) Subscapularis:- It is responsible for the internal rotation of the

arm.

iv) Teres Minor:- It is also responsible for the outward rotation of

the arm.

Causes of a Shoulder Tear:-

Lifting, pushing or pulling of heavy objects.

Shoulder injury.

Overhead activities.

Age.

Sports activity likes swimming, cricket, tennis, volleyball, etc.

Poor control of your shoulder blade muscles.

Poor Posture.

Overgrowth of a bone over part of the shoulder blade.

Symptoms of Shoulder Tear:-

People will often feel pain during doing overhead activities.

Catching, locking, popping or grinding .

Occasional night pain .

Preventing the people to perform daily activities.

A sense of unsteadiness in the shoulder .

Decreased range of shoulder movement .

Decrease of strength of the shoulder.

Suddenly pain occurs in the upper arm , Shoulder blade, Neck or upper back.
