NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ♦ *Rabies Alert* The State of Texas is under a state-wide rabies quarantine. Proof of current

vaccination may be required. ♦ **There is limited crating space**. The Club realizes that large crates, 300’s, 400’s or larger are

extremely heavy and difficult to transport. However, it is important that anyone who can bring a stackable crate do so. Please stack crates wherever possible. No X-pens or lounge chairs. * Please keep walking aisles open.*

♦ Facility will be available to exhibitors for setting up crates on Friday evening from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Bring your own “small” chairs.

♦ There is limited parking space. ♦ Exhibitors must pick up after their dogs anywhere on the show site which includes area outside the

fence or by the ditches. ♦ A designated warm-up area (practice ring) shall be provided outdoors. The AKC has charged Trial

giving clubs the responsibility to enforce the Rules and Regulations forbidding drilling and/or unacceptable training on the trial grounds. No spiked or other special training collars. Drilling, intensive or abusive training will not be allowed.

♦ Entries not on official AKC entry form and/or entry forms without Agreement and Rules attached are not acceptable. Entries will not be accepted without signature, fees and back of entry form. Entries may be faxed and entries paid via PayPal. (see entry fees).

♦ The safety of the dogs and exhibitors is our primary concern. By entering this Trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that they and their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely.

♦ Exhibitors are responsible for complete, accurate, and legible information on their entry forms; illegible or incomplete entries will not be accepted.

♦ Exhibitors are responsible for submitting correct fees. No refunds given under $10 for wrong addition. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. A $25 service fee will be added for all returned checks. All entries must be paid in full prior to showing.

♦ Bitches in season or Sick Dogs are NOT permitted on the show grounds. The HOT Dog Club will refund all but $3 per entry per day plus a $10 administrative fee of the daily entry fee for bitches that come into season after the closing date or dogs that are too ill to show after the closing date. The Trial Secretary must receive written certification from a veterinarian no later than 30 minutes before the start of the first class of the day in order to receive a refund.

♦ Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee.

♦ Entry fees will not be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee.

♦ No refund for duplicate entries. Care will be taken to find duplicates; however, if an entry has been processed no refund will be made.

♦ All dogs present must be on leash or confined to crates when not being judged except when in the designated warm-up area.

♦ It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the site. In such case, no refund of any entry fees will be made.

♦ Members and Officers, except the Trial Secretary of the HOT Dog Club may enter dogs at these trials.

♦ The HOT Dog Club assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children.

♦ Exhibitors are responsible for being at the ring gate when it is their turn to run. The Judge need not wait for any dog holding up a class; nor will HOT Dog Club nor the Trial Secretary be obligated to furnish any service to notify exhibitors/agents of class judging.

♦ Dogs need to be at the Trial only at the scheduled time of judging in the class in which they are entered and may leave immediately thereafter unless needed for further judging. All dogs on the trial grounds must be at least six (6) months old on the day of the trial.

♦ Crating is limited. Crates may be left in the area designated for crating for the duration of the Trial, but exhibitors do so at their own risk. No unattended dogs will be allowed to remain overnight. Security will NOT be provided. HOT Dog Club assumes no responsibility for anything lost or stolen.

♦ Dogs and equipment must be removed immediately following competition and the awarding of prizes for the last class on Sunday afternoon.

♦ Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.

AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. INSTRUCTIONS 1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate

the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, ie, age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)
