    POWER AT THE CORNER: 3B Luis Valbuena has hit a career-high 19 home runs through the clubs 1st 91 games of the season...the last Astros 3rd baseman to reach this number of homers thru 91 team games was 3B Morgan Ensberg, who also hit 19 in 2006.

    QUICK LEARNER: SS Carlos Correa became the 1st Major League shortstop to record 9 doubles within his 1st 20 career games (since 1914)...he was also the 1st player in Astros history, regard-less of position, to hit 9 doubles within his first 20 games...Correa joined Rusty Staub (19g in 1963), George Springer (2014) and Jeff Bagwell (1991) as the only players in club history to reach base safely in 18 of their first 20 games in the Major Leagues.

    50th ANNIVERSARY OF ASTRODOME: The Astros celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Astro-dome, on April 17-18the team celebrated with special giveaways, including a Jimmy Wynn bobblehead and a 1965 replica Astrodome giveawayAstros players also wore throwback uniforms, and members of the groundscrew wore spacesuitsmembers of the 1st Astros team participated in a special pregame ceremony with NASA astronauts, recreating the 1st pitch from the Astrodomes 1st regular season game on April 12, 1965.

    CANELO VS. KIRKLAND: On May 9, boxing superstars Canelo Alvarez and James Kirkland faced off in the 1st live boxing match to take place at Minute Maid Parkthe 12-round super welter-weight bout, which took place before a crowd of over 31,000, was broadcast live on HBO to millions across the country.

    FLOOD RELIEF EFFORTS: After the historic floods that hit Hous-ton on May 25, the Astros and Astros Foundation hosted a food and materials drive supporting the Houston Food Bank over a 7-game homestand from May 29-June 4the Astros Foundation presented the Houston Food Bank with a check for $10,000 as part of the relief effort, and partnered with Aramark to donate 2,000 lunches for those displaced in the Greater Houston Area.

    CENTER FIELD RENOVATION: On June 4, the Astros announced conceptual plans for the proposed renovation of the center field area of Minute Maid Parkconstruction would begin immediately following the 2015 season and would be ready by the start of the 2016 seasonthe renovation would include improved seating op-tions, new food and beverage options, the addition of escalators to improve fan access and revisions to the playing field including the removal of Tals Hillthe design of the new center field area was in partnership with MSA Sport and influenced by feedback from fans, current and former players and front office personnel.

    PICNIC IN THE PARK: The Astros Foundation hosted their 3rd annual Picnic in the Park fundraising event in the outfield of Min-ute Maid Park on Sunday, June 14the sold-out charitable fund-raiser, which gives fans the rare opportunity to be on the grass at Minute Maid Park, featured the entire 2015 Astros roster, alumni and members of the Astros front officefans were treated to an hour-long autograph session with Astros players, a picnic buffet, a complimentary picnic mat and activities for families and children...all proceeds from the event benefitted the Astros Foundations cornerstone youth baseball programs in the Greater Houston Area.
