GENERAL DEMOLITION NOTES:
1. HOUSING COMPLEX UNITS A THROUGH F ARE 2-STORY LOAD BEARING WOOD STRUCTURES. 2ND FLOOR CONSTRUCTION CONSISTS OF WOOD TRUSSES WITH WOOD SHEATHING. 1ST FLOOR IS CONCRETE SLAB ON GRADE. EXTERIOR WALL COVERING IS BRICK WITH PARTIAL ALUMINUM SIDING. TWO SETS OF STAIRS ARE LOAD BEARING STEEL STRUCTURES WITH CONCRETE TREADS AND LANDINGS.
2. SECURITY HUT, NOTED AS BUILDING 1, IS A 1-STORY LOAD BEARING STRUCTURE WITH A CONCRETE SLAB ON GRADE FLOOR. EXTERIOR WALL COVERING IS BRICK AND WOOD SIDING.
3. CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO SUBMITTING BID SHALL INSPECT SITE FOR WORK TO BE DONE BY HIS TRADE. CONTRACTOR PROVIDING SERVICS SHALL VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DIMENSIONS, ELEVATIONS AND NOTES PERTAINING TO JOB SITE. DISCEPANCIES SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE OWNER PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL UTILITY WORK WITH CAMPUS FACILITIES MANAGEMENT PRIOR TO DEMOLITION.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIYFY ALL EXISTING CONSTRUCTION CONDITIONS AND FINISHES PRIOR TO SUMBITTING A BID AND START OF ANY WORK. DISCREPANCIES IN ACTUAL CONDITIONS AND PLANS SHALL BE BROU\IGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE OWNER FOR EVALUATION BEFORE CONTINUINIG WITH WORK.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOCATION OF ALL UTILITIES PRIOR TO STARTING OF ANY WORK.
7. ALL BUILDING UTILITIES SHALL BE DISCONNECTID FROM METER AND SOURCE OF UTISLITIES PRIOR TO ANY DEMOLITION. CONDITIONS THAT PROHIBIT THE WORK FROM BEING PERFORMED AS SHOWN SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE OWNER FOR EVALUTATION BEFORE CONTINUING WITH WORK.
8. BUILDINGS SHALL BE DEMOLISHED IN THEIR ENTIRETY BOTH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR COMPONENTS. SEE PLAN FOR EXTENT OF DEMOLITION. BUILDING CONTENTS SHALL BE TREATED AS PART OF THE DEMOLITION SCOPE.
9. DEMOLISHED ITEMS SHALL BE TRANSPORTED AND DISPOSED OF IN A LEGAL MANNER IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE CODES.
10. ADDITIONAL DEMOLITION WORK ASSOCIATED WITH PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, AND ELECTRICAL WORK IS REQUIRED. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH ALL TRADES

11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD COORDINATE THE REMOVAL OF ANY UTILITY OWNED TELEPHONE OR CATV WIRING TO THE BUILDING PRIOR TO DEMOLITION. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REMOVAL OF ANY OWNER WIRING TO THE BUILDING. REMOVE BACK TO THE NEAREST SERVICE PEDESTAL OR VAULT. FIELD COORDINATE WITH OWNER. ANY COMMUNICATION WIRING SERVING ANOTHER BUILDING FROM BUILDINGS TO BE DEMOLISHED SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE OWNER PRIOR TO REMOVAL OF THE WIRING.
12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD COORDINATE THE REMOVAL ELECTRICAL SERVICE WITH THH OWNER PRIOR TO DEMOLITION. REMOVE THE WIRING FROM THE MAIN SERVICE PANEL OR PANELS BACK TO THE UTILITY TERMINATION POINT, SERVICE TRANSFORMER OR VAULT. THE BUILDING SHALL BE COMPLETELY DE-ENERGIZED PRIOR TO DEMOLITION
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD COORDINATE THE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING MECHANICAL SYSTEMS.
14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD COORDINATE THE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING PLUMBING SYSTEM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PLUMBING FIXTURES, WASTE PIPING, WATER PIPING, SEWER PIPING AND FIRE PROTECTION PIPING. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE OWNER FOR DISCONNECTION AND ABANDONING OF THE EXISTING WATER SERVICE.
15. CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO SUBMITTING BID SHALL INSPECT SITE FOR WORK TO BE DONE BY HIS TRADE.
