GOOD CONDUCT – YOUR OFFICE› No boxes on the floor

› Remove cables from the floor (please use your office desk cable tray or get strips from the student helpers)

› Please tidy up your offices. Align tables with rooms, etc.

› Please remember to do a weekly overall clean up of your office

› Remove empty bottles, etc. – we are social, but the building should not look like a party house 

› According to the fire authorities we are not allowed to cover up the windows to the offices

OFFICE SUPPLIES AND PRINTERS› iNANO provides standard office supplies. Special orders are paid for by

the groups

› iNANO orders and pays for toners for the printers as well as printing paper

› The supplies are available from the student helpers’ office (1590-218)

GOODS RECEPTION› Small parcels are delivered to the student helpers’ office (1590-218)

› Student helpers sign and send out e-mail upon reception

› LARGE packages and pallets cannot be delivered to 1590-218 or left at the entrance (fire-escape route + non-esthetic)› Same for larger amounts of chemicals› Preferred option: Set delivery to a specific room ”(159X-YYY) (contact person, mobile

phone)”› Plan B: Set delivery to ”Building 1591, goods reception (contact person, mobile phone)”

› Student helpers will assist in bringing the packages/pallets into room 1591-024 if you cannot be reached

› REMEMBER: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE THAT THE PACKAGES ARRIVE TO YOU IN DESIRED SHAPE – E.G., IF YOU ORDER FROZEN ITEMS. WE WILL DO WHAT WE CAN TO ASSIST IN RECEIVING THE ITEMS IN THE RIGHT WAY, BUT THE STUDENTS HELPER’S IS NOT OCCUPIED 100% OF THE TIME => MAKE SURE THAT YOU AS THE ORDERING PERSON ENSURES THAT YOU ARE CONTACTED FROM THE DELIVERING COMPANY UPON DELIVERY IF THE ITEMS REQUIRE IMMEDIATE ACTION.

ETHANOL AND DRUG PERCURSORS› The house has a permit to buy undenatured ethanol without taxes

(about 150 kr/liter!)› Buy your own ethanol (96%, 99.5%)› Send a copy of the invoice to Bente Olsen ([email protected])

› In IndFak: Before approving the invoice, print a pdf of the invoice › The tax authorities can make control visits

› If we do not have the papers in order, we will be charged the 150 kr/liter in taxes

› The house has a permit to buy drug precursors (i.e. acetone and many others)

WASH OF LAB COATS› Purchase of lab coats done by each group› Delivery once per week (Thursday)› Each coat must be labelled with ”iNANO”, group initials, and person

initials› When dropping off items without an updated label, put them in a clear plastic bag

labelled with the desired text (put the label into the bag)› The washing company will then label the items before washing

GLASSWARE WASHING MACHINE› Outlook booking calendar (1592-111

Laboratorieopvask)› When you book, please observe the length of your washing

program› Most washing tasks can be performed with the standard 1 hour

program

› Washing-up liquid and neutralizing liquid is on the house

› General rules for glassware apply: no labels, no autoclave tape, caps removed from blue-cap bottles

› The washing room has been equipped with sinks for rinsing away most dirt from your glassware before final cleaning › Glassware contaminated with organic/foul-smelling waste must be

cleaned in the fume hood equipped with 3 sinks.

SAFETY› Evacuation plans have been placed in all corridors throughout the

house› Meeting point in case of fire is the lawn toward Langelandsgade

› Fire equipment (fire extinguishers and blankets) is available in many corridors and laboratories already and will be available throughout the house

› A defibrillator is available in the entrance hall of building 1590, readily accessible from Gustav Wieds Vej and Langelandsgade

› A first aid kit is avilable at the student helpers’ office (1590-218)› Group leaders are responsible for instructing students and group

members and for inforcing good laboratory practice› No lab coats in the foyer at any time› Never carry used laboratory glassware, lab samples, lab waste etc.

carefully, and to safeguard the safety of those who transport and handle your waste!

› Only use approved waste containers (5 liters UN 3H1/X) found in 1590-051› In case less than 10 containers are left, please contact
