In order to be eligible for consideration for a grant, groups must complete an application form which can be obtained by visiting The Hunt Club Land Sales Office at 14 Broad Oak Drive, phoning 5996 7088 or online at www.huntclub.com.au. The eligibility criteria for The Hunt Club Community Fund requires all applicants to be not-for-profit groups which have been operating within the

Cranbourne 3977 postcode area for a minimum of 12 months.

An independent judging panel will assess and award applications for grants of $500 or $1,000. Grant recipients will be notified in September and invited to The Hunt Club Community Fund 2014presentation evening on Wednesday, 1 October.

Now in its thirteenth year of operation, The Hunt Club’s annual Community Fund initiative has already donated over $160,000 to local not-for-profit groups in the Cranbourne area to assist people of all ages in undertaking a wide range of very worthy projects.

There are several ways to get involved with or support Neighbourhood Watch Casey. Residents have the opportunity to add to the numbers of the Neighbourhood Watch Casey Volunteers, who are working to improve the City of Casey by educating the public in ways to improve their home, business, family and personal safety.

As a Registered Volunteer, you can be part of the Neighbourhood Watch Casey team for two or three hours per month at a range of special events, shopping centre information booths and education days in the local community.

Neighbourhood Watch Casey is a fully inclusive community-based volunteer safety group which welcomes people of any ability or background. To register as a Neighbourhood Watch Volunteer requires a formal police check.

For further information about joining Neighbourhood Watch Casey contact NHW Casey secretary Jennifer Baird on (03) 9799 3326 or email [email protected].

You can also support NHW Casey by following them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/nhwcasey or become a free subscriber to the NHW Casey Reporter monthly newsletter by emailing [email protected] for details.

Time is running out to secure land at The Hunt Club before the estate reaches full maturity, with only four major releases remaining.

Current sales activity centres on Stage 78B within the Vista Precinct. Conveniently located near the eastern perimeter of estate, the Vista Precinct offers an attractive, elevated setting. Available blocks in Stage 78B range in size from 400sqm to 524sqm and are priced from $216,000.

Amongst the attractions of the Vista Precinct will be the soon-to-be created Hilltop Park. Construction works at Hilltop Park are expected to commence this Spring and be completed by early next year. It is planned for the park to include a BBQ shelter and junior play equipment set, as well as providing connectivity with adjacent walking paths.

For further information about the remaining land availability at The Hunt Club, see Cheryl at the Land Sales Office at 14 Broad Oak Drive or phone 5996 7088.

Final land releases

Countdown to Hunt Club Village start

Preparations towards the commencement of Stage One of the Hunt Club Village shopping centre are progressing well. Soil testing has been completed and foundation design is nearing finalisation.

Eligible local groups are invited to apply for a financial grant of up to $1,000 from the Dennis Family Corporation through The Hunt Club Community Fund 2014. The application period has commenced and will close on Friday, 1 August at 5pm.

Thank you to all residents who completed our online survey between 16 June and 7 July.

Your views are much appreciated and help the Dennis Family Corporation to continue to plan to make the wonderful, growing community at The Hunt Club even better in the future.

Everyone who completed the survey has been entered into a prize draw to win a $500 Freedom gift card. We will congratulate the winner in the next issue of Club Talk.

In the meantime, design development of the centre is continuing to progress towards finalisation with the consult-ant team, in preparation for tendering by external commercial builders in the July/August period.

The commencement of on-site construction works for the centre is then expected to follow in September. Stage One building is scheduled to be a 12-month project, leading to a completion of works by late 2015.

Major tenant leases have already been agreed, including a Woolworths supermarket. Specialty leases within the centre are soon to be negoti-ated by the appointed leasing agent Fitzroy’s.

Local residents will also welcome the news that the Dennis Family Corpo-ration has lodged a planning permit with the City of Casey Council to also include an Aldi store as a second su-permarket facility at Hunt Club Village, for which it is currently awaiting ap-proval. Council recently approved the planning permit for bulk liquor sales at the centre.
