Award Winning Credit Union 4 Years in a Row!

The Section 705 team is very proud to announce that we received THREE awards this year among our Louisiana credit union peers. The Louisiana Credit Union League awarded Section 705 with 1st Place in Electronic Marketing (for a blog post) and 2nd Place for the 705 Newsletter for credit unions in the asset range of $0 to $100 million in assets.

The third award Section 705 received is one that brings great pride. Tom Colley, Board of Directors President, was inducted into the credit union Hall of Fame for 30 years of service and dedication to Section 705 FCU! He has been serving the credit union as a volunteer since 1986 on the Credit Committee. Tom was elected as a Board of Director in 1991 and has been making the credit union the best it can be ever since.

International Credit Union Day: The Authentic Difference!The World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) described International Credit Union Day well by stating “International Credit Union (ICU) Day® has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. The day is recognized to reflect upon the credit union movement’s history and to promote its achievements. It is a day to honor those who have dedicated their lives to the movement, recognize the hard work of those working in the credit union industry and show members our appreciation.”
