Tyrol in winter means fresh, clear air to help you take deep and easy breaths. It means tranquillity and pure happiness. Wed like to share all these aspects of our traditions, our country, and our cuisine with you. This winter there is much that is new and exciting to discover. Our younger guests in particular will enjoy even more fun in snow and on piste. The brand new Kindervilla at Bertas Kinderland houses a large stage, an entertainment room

and much more. The childrens Blochziehen procession takes place every four years, and is great fun for young and old. This years Nightflow and Adventure Night events also set new standards of acrobatics and entertainment under starry skies. Join us for fun, joviality and fabulous flavours along the way, topped by radiant winter highlights: come and enjoy a slice of Alpine tradition.

Delicious mountainscape and peaks of delight The fragrance of homemade bread and freshly brewed coffee, the sweet flavours of homemade jam, natural honey and fresh farm butter, the prospect of fresh fruit, delicious cereals, sausage and ham specialities: it has to be time for breakfast at the Hotel Tirol . This early morning peak of culinary delights is designed to fortify body and soul in readiness for a day on the slopes or walking in the winter landscape .

Day after day, wide slopes and perfect snow lure passionate skiers and snowboarders onto the slopes of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, although there are many more ways to explore and enjoy the Tyrolean winter wonderland around the Hotel Tirol. Embark on a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride and experience the mountains from a completely new perspective. Tobogganing parties, on the other hand, are pure, unadulterated fun especially when they include refreshment stops. 45,000sqm of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis are reserved exclusively for the youngest of winter sports enthusiasts and snow bunnies . With the Kinderschneealm Serfaus, Bertas Kinderland in Fiss-Ladis, the Murmlipark, and the kids snowmobile trail, children experience a winter wonderland that cannot fail but turn them into lifelong winter sports enthusiasts .

250 highly qualified childrens ski instructors use play and fun to teach children how to ski and snowboard. These recipients of theTyrolean Ski Instructors Associations Quality Award have developed a special teaching method they call the gentle birth of ski children. This allows the children to decide when to play and when to ski. The childrens desire to succeed means they achieve their objectives as quickly as everyone else, but in tune with their own rhythm. Furthermore, the ski and snow sports lessons in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis make use of some terrific innovations such

as the Snow-V, which helps the little ones learn the snowplough braking and turning technique. There is no shortage of fun and games in the many childrens adventure worlds and trails. The youngsters whizz from dinosaur forest to zoo, from fairytale village to Native American village. Slightly older children (6+) even get to drive a snowmobile. In cosy little houses nearby, trained child carers keep the children entertained. Everything has its place in our childrens snow world except for boredom.

Winter fun for all the family in Europes most family-friendly ski resort


News for children & familiesChildren's 'Blochziehen' procession in FissOnce every four years the children of Fiss follow the example of the adults by staging their own traditional childrens Blochziehen procession. This is a rural Tyrolean carnival tradition that, together with the adult Blochziehen, was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2011. Young and old enjoy the playful entertainment of the young revellers following in their elders footsteps by pulling the Bloch through the village. Saturday 24 January 2016 at 1pm

Berta's KindervillaThis winter, theres even more snow fun and entertainment for young ski fans in Fiss as Bertas Kinderland is growing: Bertas brand-new Kindervilla childrens house makes childrens hearts beat faster, and not only outside on the big new show stage where brilliant entertainment will be on offer. Inside too, everything is geared towards meeting the needs of the younger ski kids. A large entertainment room offers something for all of the little skiers, and guests seeking diversion will be most content. Adults have a separate parents lounge to keep them out of the way the little ones play. Naturally, the whole of the Kindervillas infrastructure is at the cutting edge of technology and fully family-focused from the WC to the baby changing facilities.

Brilliant news from the Sonnenburg restaurantThe Sonnenburg family restaurant in Fiss by the Sonnenbahns midway station is now even bigger and sports a completely new look. With around 300 additional seats inside and in the (covered) outdoor area and a new kitchen, the family restaurant now offers even more space for fun, pizza, cake etc. Additional toilets should put an end to long queues. Best of all: an escalator now links Bertas Kinderland and the new restaurant.As before, there are abundant family amenities including a pram & stroller parking area, a nursing room with bottle warmer, a baby changing room, an indoor playground that is observable from all seats, a generous outdoor play area, a sun terrace and sun-lounger terrace, and a large screen with live broadcasts from Bertas Kinderland so adults can see whats going on outside without having to get their feet cold.

Proud Laudeck Castle perches at the edge of a cliff high above the Inn Valley. Albrecht of Laudeck left his castle to join the Crusades in the Holy Land, and when he returned to Ladis he discovered that much had changed during his absence. Worst of all, the Rogue Knight Chuno was wreaking havoc at Laudeck Castle ... Let this exciting open-air performance cast its spell over you!
