the Fagowees We have skied Iceland
Oregon and West Virginia Fourteen
Fagowees will be heading to Switzer-
land for European Spring skiing
The days are getting longer and
soon it will be getting warmer We have a few events planned for
the Spring Beach trip Celtic Festival Bowling Night and Theater
Night In order to have more events we need members to step up
and volunteer to run activities We are looking for folks to handle a

DC Fagowees are actively recruiting new members and we want to challenge everyone to recruit at least one new member in the next 6 months Come on you must know at least one person who would LOVE this club as much as you do

Mt Bachelor Adventure Nine Fagowees made the cross country trek to ski Mt Bachelor with
the Blue Ridge Ski Council Mt Bachelor rolled out the welcome mat for
our group They gave everyone a swag bag and an adult Sippy cup for hot
cold beverages The Bachelor Ambassadors were everywhere to help with
all our needs and helped us find the best skiing on the mountain
We didnrsquot have the best weather for skiing but we made the trip to
the base daily and skied Seven Fagowees braved the elements in the BRSC
ski race Lance Bravard and Stacy Hickman medaled in the event Lance
was the Fastest Overall Ski Racer out of 72 racers
We sampled the many microbrews of Bend OR Enjoyed a great
Superbowl party Wow what a game We had a great night at the High
Desert Museum with a fabulous dinner private tours and meeting many ani-
mals
We had a great day snowshoeing at Crater Lake plus a hiking adven-
ture at Smith Rock State Park along the Metolius River and a good lunch in
Sisters OR
It was a good week skiing and partying with fellow BRSC members
Everyone made it home safe and in one piece

FAGOWEE ELECTIONS mdash May 5 2015 Nominations ndash March 3rd amp April 7th
Itrsquos that time of year again when we select the officers that lead our club
The technicalities Elected officers include the President and Vice President (each with one year terms) and 6 Directors (3 elected
each year for two year terms) The Board of Directors has nine members consisting of the 6 elected members the President the
Vice President and the past years President However if the President is reelected the past presidents one year vacancy is filled by
the Board candidate receiving the next highest number of votes
This year is a little more complicated since we had a Board member resign during the first year of that memberrsquos two-year term
Colleen Marr was appointed to fill that vacancy for the remainder of the first year of that term Now the second year of that term has
become an additional one-year term open Board position So this year we will be electing 4 or 5 new Board members (3 for two year
terms 1 for a one year term to fill the vacated position and (if Stacy Hickman is reelected) an additional one year term for the past
president vacancy
The following positions are open this year
bull President (one year term) ndash Tribe Chief
bull Vice President (one year term) ndash Second in command and responsible for chairing Board meetings
bull Board of Directors (three two-year term positions open one one-year position open ndash plus one additional one-year term position if
Stacy is reelected) ndash These are the leaders who set the direction for the club approve activities and manage Club finance and admin-
istration Board members are expected to actively participate in Board meetings held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month
Nominations March 3rd and April 7th regular meetings
Nominees must be members in good standing for the past 12 months have been a member for at least 18 months total be age 21+
and live in the DC metro area
Those nominated at either meeting must indicate whether they accept or decline their nominations by April 10th
Elections May 5 2015 by secret ballot of all members present
Absentee voting Requests for absentee ballots must be made on or before the April 7th regular meeting The requests may be via

FAGOWEE OF THE MONTH ndash Jan 2015 Our Fagowee of the Month for January is Lisa Vignerot A frequent Fagowee trip leader Lisa outdid her-
self on this trip by planning and leading a fantastic 5-day trip to Iceland for 37 Fagowees Her choice of
hotel was excellent The 8-story building was very nice and included a steam room and Jacuzzi as well
as a restaurant and bar on the top floor with panoramic views of Reykjavik and the waterfront And it
was an easy walk to the best shopping dining and nightlife area Our tour of the Golden Circle area
with geysers huge waterfalls volcanoes and lakes were great especially with our awesome tour
guide Valdi who let us stop and pet the woolly
Icelandic horses along the way He also gave us a
great tour of Reykjavik and was perfect for our
wacky group We also enjoyed a huge outdoor
geothermal spa the first day (with a wade-up bar
of course) and we skied the 2nd day with a night
-time excursion to see the Northern Lights Lisa
as usual made it a very fun and smooth trip in-
cluding gift bags and some unplanned temporary
funding advancements for some of the group for

FAGOWEE ELECTIONS mdash May 5 2015 Nominations ndash March 3rd amp April 7th
Itrsquos that time of year again when we select the officers that lead our club
The technicalities Elected officers include the President and Vice President (each with one year terms) and 6 Directors (3 elected
each year for two year terms) The Board of Directors has nine members consisting of the 6 elected members the President the
Vice President and the past years President However if the President is reelected the past presidents one year vacancy is filled by
the Board candidate receiving the next highest number of votes
This year is a little more complicated since we had a Board member resign during the first year of that memberrsquos two-year term
Colleen Marr was appointed to fill that vacancy for the remainder of the first year of that term Now the second year of that term has
become an additional one-year term open Board position So this year we will be electing 4 or 5 new Board members (3 for two year
terms 1 for a one year term to fill the vacated position and (if Stacy Hickman is reelected) an additional one year term for the past
president vacancy
The following positions are open this year
bull President (one year term) ndash Tribe Chief
bull Vice President (one year term) ndash Second in command and responsible for chairing Board meetings
bull Board of Directors (three two-year term positions open one one-year position open ndash plus one additional one-year term position if
Stacy is reelected) ndash These are the leaders who set the direction for the club approve activities and manage Club finance and admin-
istration Board members are expected to actively participate in Board meetings held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month

Nominees must be members in good standing for the past 12 months have been a member for at least 18 months total be age 21+
and live in the DC metro area

FAGOWEE OF THE MONTH ndash Jan 2015 Our Fagowee of the Month for January is Lisa Vignerot A frequent Fagowee trip leader Lisa outdid her-
self on this trip by planning and leading a fantastic 5-day trip to Iceland for 37 Fagowees Her choice of
hotel was excellent The 8-story building was very nice and included a steam room and Jacuzzi as well
as a restaurant and bar on the top floor with panoramic views of Reykjavik and the waterfront And it
was an easy walk to the best shopping dining and nightlife area Our tour of the Golden Circle area
with geysers huge waterfalls volcanoes and lakes were great especially with our awesome tour
guide Valdi who let us stop and pet the woolly
Icelandic horses along the way He also gave us a
great tour of Reykjavik and was perfect for our
wacky group We also enjoyed a huge outdoor
geothermal spa the first day (with a wade-up bar
of course) and we skied the 2nd day with a night
-time excursion to see the Northern Lights Lisa
as usual made it a very fun and smooth trip in-
cluding gift bags and some unplanned temporary
funding advancements for some of the group for

Mt Bachelor Adventure Nine Fagowees made the cross country trek to ski Mt Bachelor with
the Blue Ridge Ski Council Mt Bachelor rolled out the welcome mat for
our group They gave everyone a swag bag and an adult Sippy cup for hot
cold beverages The Bachelor Ambassadors were everywhere to help with
all our needs and helped us find the best skiing on the mountain
We didnrsquot have the best weather for skiing but we made the trip to
the base daily and skied Seven Fagowees braved the elements in the BRSC
ski race Lance Bravard and Stacy Hickman medaled in the event Lance
was the Fastest Overall Ski Racer out of 72 racers
We sampled the many microbrews of Bend OR Enjoyed a great
Superbowl party Wow what a game We had a great night at the High
Desert Museum with a fabulous dinner private tours and meeting many ani-
mals
We had a great day snowshoeing at Crater Lake plus a hiking adven-
ture at Smith Rock State Park along the Metolius River and a good lunch in
Sisters OR
It was a good week skiing and partying with fellow BRSC members
Everyone made it home safe and in one piece

Itrsquos that time of year again when we select the officers that lead our club
The technicalities Elected officers include the President and Vice President (each with one year terms) and 6 Directors (3 elected
each year for two year terms) The Board of Directors has nine members consisting of the 6 elected members the President the
Vice President and the past years President However if the President is reelected the past presidents one year vacancy is filled by
the Board candidate receiving the next highest number of votes
This year is a little more complicated since we had a Board member resign during the first year of that memberrsquos two-year term
Colleen Marr was appointed to fill that vacancy for the remainder of the first year of that term Now the second year of that term has
become an additional one-year term open Board position So this year we will be electing 4 or 5 new Board members (3 for two year
terms 1 for a one year term to fill the vacated position and (if Stacy Hickman is reelected) an additional one year term for the past
president vacancy
The following positions are open this year
bull President (one year term) ndash Tribe Chief
bull Vice President (one year term) ndash Second in command and responsible for chairing Board meetings
bull Board of Directors (three two-year term positions open one one-year position open ndash plus one additional one-year term position if
Stacy is reelected) ndash These are the leaders who set the direction for the club approve activities and manage Club finance and admin-
istration Board members are expected to actively participate in Board meetings held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month

Nominees must be members in good standing for the past 12 months have been a member for at least 18 months total be age 21+
and live in the DC metro area

FAGOWEE OF THE MONTH ndash Jan 2015 Our Fagowee of the Month for January is Lisa Vignerot A frequent Fagowee trip leader Lisa outdid her-
self on this trip by planning and leading a fantastic 5-day trip to Iceland for 37 Fagowees Her choice of
hotel was excellent The 8-story building was very nice and included a steam room and Jacuzzi as well
as a restaurant and bar on the top floor with panoramic views of Reykjavik and the waterfront And it
was an easy walk to the best shopping dining and nightlife area Our tour of the Golden Circle area
with geysers huge waterfalls volcanoes and lakes were great especially with our awesome tour
guide Valdi who let us stop and pet the woolly
Icelandic horses along the way He also gave us a
great tour of Reykjavik and was perfect for our
wacky group We also enjoyed a huge outdoor
geothermal spa the first day (with a wade-up bar
of course) and we skied the 2nd day with a night
-time excursion to see the Northern Lights Lisa
as usual made it a very fun and smooth trip in-
cluding gift bags and some unplanned temporary
funding advancements for some of the group for

FAGOWEE OF THE MONTH ndash Jan 2015 Our Fagowee of the Month for January is Lisa Vignerot A frequent Fagowee trip leader Lisa outdid her-
self on this trip by planning and leading a fantastic 5-day trip to Iceland for 37 Fagowees Her choice of
hotel was excellent The 8-story building was very nice and included a steam room and Jacuzzi as well
as a restaurant and bar on the top floor with panoramic views of Reykjavik and the waterfront And it
was an easy walk to the best shopping dining and nightlife area Our tour of the Golden Circle area
with geysers huge waterfalls volcanoes and lakes were great especially with our awesome tour
guide Valdi who let us stop and pet the woolly
Icelandic horses along the way He also gave us a
great tour of Reykjavik and was perfect for our
wacky group We also enjoyed a huge outdoor
geothermal spa the first day (with a wade-up bar
of course) and we skied the 2nd day with a night
-time excursion to see the Northern Lights Lisa
as usual made it a very fun and smooth trip in-
cluding gift bags and some unplanned temporary
funding advancements for some of the group for

walk This patch of grass is our favorite hangout location where we can partake in consumption of adult
