WIRC is pleased to organize 2 days residential Regional Students’ Conference to help the students in understanding the opportunities available to the Company Secretaries in different fields / sectors apart from the conventional company law field, consequent to the changing face of the profession of Company Secretaries.

This Regional Student’s Conference is aimed at developing the students to aspire to become a complete professional who can cope up with the ever changing requirements of the profession.

Conference will feature various competitions like Paper Presentations, Group Discussion, Extempore etc. and Interactive session with Institute Officials, Capacity Building sessions and a grand Cultural Evening.

PAPER PRESENTATION:

CS Students are invited to contribute papers for Paper Presentation Competition. The following are the topics for writing the paper (any one can be chosen):

o Goods & Service Tax

o Intellectual Property Rights

o Project Financing

o Indirect Taxation

o Corporate Social Responsibility

o FEMA

o Labour & Economic Laws

o Consumer Protection

o Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)

o SEBI Takeover Code

o Competition Law

o SME Listing

o Mergers & Acquisitions

Guideline: Papers must be written considering diversification opportunities for a Company Secretary and his possible contribution in these areas.

Six papers will be selected for presentation in the conference. Paper written by co-authors is not allowed.

Selected Students shall be given 15 minutes to present a paper at the Conference

Two best presenters will be felicitated suitably in the Conference

Interested students should submit a soft copy of paper (in PDF Format) not exceeding 1,000 words along with hard copy for approval so as to reach the Nagpur Chapter by email at nagpurcsconference@gmail.com not later than Aug 5, 2012. Please provide your complete mailing address, phone number, email id and Passport size Photograph along with student registration number and stage of CS Curriculum (Foundation / Executive / Professional).

The Screening Committee shall select the paper. The decision of Screening Committee shall be final.
