Edgewood Hospital Diversion

Edgewood Hospital Diversion provides short-term intensive mental health services to youth and their families to stabilize acute psychiatric symptoms and crises.

Located at the Edgewood facility in San Francisco, the Hospital Diversion program serves youth rang-ing in age from 6 to 17, 24 hours per day/7 days per week in an unlocked, voluntary setting licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services. Length of stay may vary from 1-14 days.

The program follows a multi-disciplinary approach and features:

• Intensive diagnostic and functional assessments• Individual and group therapy• Parenting support and family therapy• Psychiatric and nursing Services• Case management, linkage and discharge• Active therapeutic milieu• Educational, art and recreation programming• Summary and recommendation report
