2019 Community Lenten Worship Services sponsored by the Woodstock Ministerial Association
Beginning Tuesday, March 12th and continue each Tuesday through April 16th of Holy Week. Services are held at 12:00noon with lunch served before the service at 11:30am
and after at 12:30pm at the Woodstock Unit-ed Methodist Church. Free will offerings giv-en towards lunch will benefit the Woodstock Ministerial Association to help provide for the needy in our community.
Thank you! We would like to thank everyone who so generously provided soups, sandwiches, and desserts for the Community Lenten Worship Service on April 2nd at the Woodstock United Methodist Church. A special thanks goes to Melanie Griffy who enriched the Worship Service with her beautiful voice and music.
Lenten Suppers at 5 pm Provided by the following organizations:
April 19th—Outreach—immediately following Live Stations before Good
Friday Service.
From now until April 19th, each group will provide a free, meatless Lenten Supper.
All Lenten Almsgiving boxes must be turned into the Parish Office no later
than Wednesday, April 17th. The boxes will be a part of the Offertory at
the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday. There are more empty boxes available in the vestibule.
The Blessing of the Easter Food
Join in the tradition of breaking the Lenten Fast with blessed Food.
“And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it and gave it to them. With that
their eyes were opened and they recognized him…”
Holy Saturday, April 20th at 12noon in the Church.
There will be a Holy Hour of Reparation on April 17th at 8:00pm. This will continue every month on the 3rd Wednesday.
The next Mass for the Victims of Clerical Sexual Abuse will be in May at 8:00pm at SJB. This will continue every month on the last Wednesday. There will be no Mass in the month of April.

The Shenandoah County Pregnancy Center (SCPC) will be celebrating 25 years
of ministry in Shenandoah County at their upcoming support-raising banquet on
Saturday, April 27th at 5:30pm at the Moose Lodge in Woodstock.
The SCPC depends on this banquet to raise funds and volunteers for the coming year.
Seats must be reserved in advance. Please contact Deacon Steve Clifford for tickets if you would like to attend the
SCPC support-raising banquet.
