These two movies are under the horror
sub-genre of supernatural, which are
mainly based on demons/ghosts.
The difference in both movies are the
difference in both era’s. Making the
location of both movies different, as
insidious is set in a new big house. This
shows that supernatural movies are more
famous when linking it to the current era
the audience are in, as they are more
relatable making the horror movie more
scary.
The elements that make both of the movies similar is that they are both set in homes and
using young children as the target of being possessed. This may be to the engaging narrative
that audience have never been bored of and find that children being possessed are more
interesting as they are young and innocent.
