Music, business, education, journalism, and environmental science are just a few of the many degrees being pursued by the talented men and women of Hooshir. Each year the group performs at synagogues, festivals, competitions, both Jewish and secular events, and were one of the featured performers at the 2013 Jewish A Cappella Festival held annually in NYC. In 2006 the group performed at its most notable venue when asked to perform at the annual White House Hanukkah party. The past two years, Hooshir has taken first place at Kol HaOlam, the National Collegiate Jewish A Cappella Competition, as well as awards for Best Beatboxer and Best Original Arrangement.

Arts and Medicine Institute, the Offi ce of Diversity, and the Spiritual Care Department present:

Hooshir is Indiana University’s mixed Jewish A Cappella group comprised of 11 students from all different walks of campus life.
