Volunteer Fire DepartmentStudent Essay ContestAs they meet their field of honor, our fierce fighters face the fiery flames. They persevere until the final moment. What does courage mean to you? Write about it in 200 words or less. Winners will receive a $100 savings bond and tickets to this year’s Firefighters’ Dance.

Support the people who work hard to keep you safe. Contest is open to area students ages 10-18. Essays must be typed and delivered to City Hall by May 18, 4:00 pm.
