Chapman University Conservatory of Music

Chapman's internationally-acclaimed Conservatory of Music offers degree programs in instrumental performance, piano and vocal studies (including opera), as well as choral conducting, instrumental conducting, music composition, and music education. Within the 43,000 square foot facility, the Conservatory contains three recital halls, over twenty practice rooms, two recording studios, classrooms, teaching studios and faculty offices.

In addition to the 225 music majors, the Conservatory also provides performance opportunities for over 400 non-majors campus-wide, including university choirs, chamber orchestra, wind symphony, and jazz ensembles. Talent Scholarships are available on an audition basis for all students, regardless of major.

Graduates of the Conservatory can be heard performing in many of the major concert halls around the world. The University Choirs, Chamber Orchestra and Wind Symphony tour regularly on the national and international level. Recent tours have included trips to Italy, Australia, China, and Greece.
