Series

With the Akrapovic Slip-On system we wanted to design a base-level exhaust system tuning component for TRX enthusiasts. The system is an excellent com-bination of performance, quality workmanship and affordability. The Akrapovic SLIP-ON is designed for two markets: for the US market it is equipped with an approved spark arrester, and for the EU and other non-US markets it comes with a noise damper.

PERFORMANCE

Measurements of the Akrapovic SLIP-ON system on the ATV HONDA TRX 450 (without noise damper or spark arrester):

Power & Torque: the advantage of the Akrapovic Slip-On can be felt most clearly at the bottom end and in the middle of the rpm range, where the increases in power and torque are the greatest. At the top of the range the Akrapovic curves follow the stock curves, with an increase appearing again in the overrev range. At 7700 rpm we measured a healthy 38.1 HP.

CONFIGURATION

The system is composed of a cylindrical stainless steel link pipe which is welded to the muffler. It is attached to the stock header assembly with a sleeve joint, which is secured with a metal clamp. The muffler is the offroad design, with a titanium outer sleeve, and the inlet cap, outlet cap and inner perforated sleeve made of stainless steel. The muffler is attached to the frame with an Akrapovic carbon-fiber clamp. The system is equipped with an approved spark arrester for the US market, and a noise damper for the EU market.
