    LESSON 1EXERCISE 1:SIMULATE A DIESEL-ONLY SYSTEM

    ADD LOAD AND GENERATOR TO SCHEMATIC

    1. Start HOMER and create a new file. Save it as lesson-1-exercise-1.hmr

    2. Click Add/Remove

    3. Check Primary Load 1 and Generator 1

    4. Click OK

    LOAD

    1. Click Primary Load 1

    2. For Label, type Small Load

    4. Type first few values in table, then cut and paste from load profile.txt.

    5. Show annual data table

    6. Click Plot

    9. Close DView and Load Inputs window.

    10. Save file

    GENERATOR COMPONENT

    1. Enter data for the generator component:

    2. Show AC and DC options

    3. Click Fuel tab

    4. Click OK
