•  Homeostatic imbalance occurs when homeostasis within the body cannot be maintained.

refers to the common imbalances occur in the digestive system during the process of the digestion in the body.

The causes of homeostatic imbalances varies as per the abnormality of digestive system.

E.g.; lack of bile juice may cause abdominal pain and stool infection

inflammation of pancreas may cause vomiting, abdominal pain etc.

Vomiting itself is the common imbalance of digestive system it may be caused by motion, medication ,sickness etc. during vomiting abdominal pain may occur and other difficulties may arises in digestion process.

Appendicitis◦Inflammation of the appendix .

Caused by usually by blockage from feces, a foreign object, or tumor.

Diarrhea◦Loose , watery frequent stool. can leads

to dehydration.◦Caused by food poisoning , antibiotics,

and other imbalances.

Esophageal cancer◦ Abnormal growth of esophageal cells.◦ Caused by smoking and alcohol consumption.

Gall stones◦ Hard , pebble-like deposits made of cholesterol or

biluribin.◦ Caused by fatty diet and rapid weight loss.

Gastroenteritis◦ Also called gastric or stomach flu.◦ Inflammation of stomach or small intestine resulting

in diarrhea , abdominal pain, vomiting etc.◦ Caused by rotavirus, bacterial toxins and parasites.

Heartburn◦ Acid indigestion, burning sensation in chest due to acid

reflux. Hepatitis

Pancreatitis◦ Inflammation of pancreases.◦ Caused by alcohol intake, genetics, or viral infection.
