Home Grown New Mexico creates events that educate and promote the

awareness of nutritious, home grown food. Home Grown New Mexico

creates venues where individuals and businesses that support home grown

food production can exchange products, ideas, and expertise. The vision is

to enable New Mexicans to take personal responsibility for growing, making,

storing and eating healthy food while enhancing like-minded businesses.

To create urban farm and food festivals that

bring together businesses and New Mexicans

committed to growing, making and preserving

their own food. Businesses will increase sales

and develop a broader customer base. The

community will develop a healthier and more

self-reliant lifestyle.

o Events are a celebration of locavorism,

kitchen gardening and urban farming that

focus on feeding families clean,

affordable, flavorful food while

increasing self reliance, reducing our

carbon footprint, and producing

sustainably.

o Events will provide demonstrations,

products, expertise and resources to attendees interested

in gardening, animal husbandry, home production of

goods and related activities commonly associated with a

self-sufficient lifestyle.

o Events will engage participants with music, art, and

contests for adults and children to create a fun and

entertaining experience.
