The 2016 model year presents Canadians with unprecedented value for the 370Z Coupe through the new base Coupe Enthusiast Edition offering a host of standard features including: black-finished 18-inch styled alloy wheels, bi-functional Xenon headlights; automatic tem- perature control; black woven carbon seat cloth; independent double wishbone front, multi-link rear, sport tuned suspension, Bluetooth® Hands-Free phone system and USB connectivity. The 2016 370Z Coupe is equipped with a standard 332-horsepower 3.7-litre DOHC V6 en- gine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL) and choice of 6- speed manual transmission with an available SynchroRev Match® synchronized downshift rev matching system or a 7-speed auto- matic transmission with paddle shifters (Touring Sport model). Though it has been more than 45 years since the arrival of the original 240Z, its influence remains strong in the sports car world and in the design of the current generation 370Z Coupe. The iconic shape, formed by the combination of a short wheelbase, wide track, low center of gravity and fluid silhouette, is as instantly recognizable today as it was in 1970. The aerodynamic exterior design incorporates intentional 240Z styling cues, a sleek aerodynamic shape, a "dynamic motion" feel with a dramatic cantilevered roof and a "low visual gravity." The sleek profile is defined by its upswept quarter window design that is echoed by the dynamic upward curvature in the lower rocker panel and the sense of the taut sheet metal molding itself around the wheels and frame. Another distinctive feature of the bold exterior design is the head- light/taillight treatment, which features a fierce "boomerang" shape. High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon head- lights with auto on/off feature with LED daytime running lamps are standard. The intense broad-shouldered rear shape is highlighted by the integration of the boomerang taillights and wide, flared rear fenders. Attention to detail and functionality is evident throughout the exterior design, including a flashing side marker lamp/emblem (turn signal lamp not available on base 370Z). The rear fascia is accented by a red rear center reflector. A front chin spoiler and rear spoiler are standard on Sport and Sport Tech grades. TORONTO - Toronto Real Estate Board President Paul Etherington announced that Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® reported 11,303 sales in April 2015. This was the highest sales result on record for the month of April and represented a 17 per cent increase in comparison to April 2014. While sales increased strongly on a year-over-year basis, new listings were up over the same period by a more moderate five per cent. "The record April result clearly points to the fact that a growing number of GTA households view ownership housing as a high quality long-term investment. This is evidenced by the strong sales growth we have experienced in Toronto and surrounding regions for all major home types. First-time buyers and existing homeowners remain very active in today's market," said Mr. Etherington. The overall average selling price, which accounts for all homes reported sold by GTA REALTORS® in April 2015, was up by 10 per cent year-over-year to $635,932. The MLS® Home Price Index (HPI) composite benchmark, which estimates the price of a benchmark home with the same attributes from one period to the next, was up by 8.4 per cent over the same period. The fact that average price growth outpaced growth for the MLS® HPI Composite Benchmark, suggests that a greater share of higher-end homes changed hands this year compared to last. Irrespective of the indicator used, price growth in the GTA was strongest for low-rise home types. However, the better supplied condominium apartment segment also remained healthy with price growth above the rate of inflation. "Demand for ownership housing was very high relative to the number of homes available for sale in April. This situation is not expected to change markedly as we move through the remainder of 2015. Until we experience a sustained period in which listings grow at a faster pace than sales, annual rates of home price growth will remain strong," said Jason Mercer, TREB's Director of Market Analysis. SMOKERS STILL THINK AFEW CIGARETTES ARE SAFELondon, (IANS) Although most people know that smoking is arisk factor for developing several cancers, many still wronglybelieve that smoking less is safe, says a new study. The re-searchers found that more than a third of the people they studied believethat smoking up to 10 cigarettes is not associated with any risk of lungcancer. The results demonstrate powerfully that the war against smoking isfar from over, said one of the researchers, Laurent Greillier from Hopital Nordin Marseille, France. The researchers analysed data from a representativesurvey of 1,602 French people aged between 40 and 75 years. Among thewhole sample population, 34 percent wrongly considered that a dailyconsumption of up to 10 cigarettes was not associated with any risk of lungcancer. "This finding is particularly impressive and threatening. It shows thatrelatively low cigarette consumption is considered as 'safe' for a lot of people. In our study, only half of subjects answered that there is no 'safe' cigarette,"Greillier noted. "It seems that people are aware about the dangers of tobaccofor health, but might consider that the risks are not for themselves, but only forother people," Greillier said. The findings were presented at the EuropeanLung Cancer Conference (ELCC) in Geneva, Switzerland.

TOP FOODS TO HYDRATE BODYIN SUMMERNew Delhi, (IANS) When the temperature soars, dehydrationbecomes one of the major problems. An exper t suggests thatpeople consider food as a source of water. "One should drinkplenty of water in the summers. The solid food also provides asurprising amount of water which can balance water level inyour body," fitness exper t and nutritionist Neeraj Mehta told IANS.Here's what to consume during summer:* Lettuce: Lettuce has 95 percent water content. It has goodamount of protein with no fat and very less calories. The nutri-tional value is amazing as well, as it has Omega-3, high fibre, iron and calcium.* Broccoli: It has 89 percent of water content with nutritionalvalues. Its anti-inflammatory properties can enable you to fightsummer allergies.* Apple: It has 86 percent water in it and is an extremely goodsource of fibre, vitamin C and more.* Yoghur t: Yoghur t is one of the best choices in summers toprevent dehydration because of its 85 percent water content. It isfull of live micro-organisms called pro-biotic, which provides alot of health benefits and fights summer allergies. It is a greatsource of protein, vitamin B and calcium.* Rice: Cooked rice has 70 percent water content in it. It will helpyou in fulfilling the water loss in your body. Sugar and carbs actually making you fatLondon, (IANS) Our calorie-laden diets are generating more ill healththan physical inactivity, alcohol and smoking combined, reveals sig-nificant research. The results bust the myth that anyone - and that includes athletes -can outrun a bad diet. "The evidence now suggests that up to 40percent of those within a normal weight (BMI) range will none theless harbour harmful metabolic abnormalities typically associatedwith obesity," warned exper ts in an editorial that appeared in theBritish Journal of Spor ts Medicine.Few people realise this and many wrongly believe that obesity isentirely due to lack of exercise - a perception that is firmly rooted incorporate marketing. The prevalence of diabetes increases 11-foldfor every 150 additional sugar calories consumed daily, comparedwith the equivalent amount of calories consumed as fat.The evidence now suggests that carbs are no better.Recent research indicates that cutting down on dietary carbohydrateis the single most effective approach for reducing all of the features ofthe metabolic syndrome and should be the primary strategy for treat-ing diabetes, with benefits occurring even in the absence of weightloss. Fur thermore, research suggests that rather than carbohydrateloading ahead of intense exercise, athletes would be better off adopt-ing a high fat low-carb diet. The food environment needs to be changed so that people automati-cally make healthy choices, suggest the authors. This "will have fargreater impact on population health than counselling or education.Healthy choice must become the easy choice", they wrote. They de-scribe the public relations tactics of the food industry as "chillinglysimilar to those of Big Tobacco", which deployed denial, doubt, confu-

sion and "bent scientists" to convince the public that smoking was notlinked to lung cancer."Celebrity endorsements of sugary drinks and the association of junkfood and spor t must end," they declared, adding that health clubs andgyms need to set an example by removing the sale of these productsfrom their premises. Public health messaging has unhelpfully fo-cused on maintaining a "healthy weight" through calorie counting butit is the source of the calories that matters. "Sugar calories promotefat storage and hunger. Fat calories induce fullness or satiation," theycontended. "Let us bust the myth of physical inactivity and obesity. You can't outrun a bad diet," they concluded.

DINOSAUR-KILLING ASTEROID CREATED DECCAN TRAPS?Washington, (IANS) The asteroid that fell into the ocean off Mexico 66 million years ago and killed the dinosaurs also triggered volcaniceruptions creating the Deccan Traps in India, suggests a US team of geophysicists. The asteroid explained the "uncomfor tably close" coincidence between the Deccan Traps eruptions and the impact. The Deccan eruptions are among the largest mapped lava flows on the Ear th occurring 66 million years ago."If you try to explain why the largest impact we know of in the last billion years happened within 100,000 years of these massive lavaflows at the Deccan Traps, the chances of that occurring at random are minuscule," said team leader Mark Richards from University ofCalifornia, Berkeley. While the Deccan lava flows probably spewed immense amounts of carbon dioxide and other noxious gases intothe atmosphere, it is not clear if this contributed to the demise of most of life on the Earth at the end of the age of dinosaurs."This connection between the impact and the Deccan lava flows is a great story and might even be true, but it doesn't yet take us closerto understanding what actually killed the dinosaurs and the 'forams'," Richards added. The forams were tiny sea creatures, many of which disappeared from the fossil record vir tually overnight at the boundary between theCretaceous and Ter tiary periods, called the KT boundary. The Deccan lava from before the impact is chemically different from that after the impact, indicating a faster rise to the surface after theimpact. Richards and his team visited India in April 2014 to obtain lava samples for dating."This was an existing massive volcanic system that had been there probably several million years, and the impact gave this thing ashake and it mobilized a huge amount of magma over a short amount of time," Richards noted.
