• Have many lights around house

• Keep the TV’s or music on when not home!

what NOT to do:

• DO NOT…– give people personal info– tell anyone you live alone– let strangers into your home– open door for unexpected

visitor

what NOT to do:

• Never use full name:– on mailboxes

– answering machines– phone directories

when you’re not home…

• NO leaving extra keys under doormats, potted plants, or obvious locations.

• Keep drapes and blinds shut

• Don't leave notes on the door for service people or family members.
